Looking for replacement for this channel balance / sash. This is for the right side. Left side seems fine - it goes up and down with the window.

Hi there!

Thank you for contacting us. Depending on the depth of the bottom fitting, you have either the Series 380 or Series 385 channel balance. However, the metal channel length should be 27" long based on your stamp. Can you confirm?

Thanks. You are correct, metal channel length is 27 inches long. How do I decide between series 380 or 385? How do I measure the depth of bottom fitting?

Also, how much weight does my current channel balance carry? Can I go for a higher weight- assume I need to change both right and left channel balances to keep the same weight, correct?

You'll want to measure as shown in the photo below. Your 2630 stamp is also calibrated for a 13 to 19 pound window sash so we recommend sticking with the original stamp. Going with a higher stamp option doesn't mean the window will be easier to close, it will actually have the opposite effect, but we always recommend replacing your balances in pairs.
