Lever lock operator

Question

Thank you for the fast shipment of 39-070, but the Lever locking window operator is a left side open, and we need a right side open. Also the handle housing is different. Can you please advise, how to exchange? Attached is a picture of our original and new.

Hey, thanks for posting. I've come across this problem before. You have an older style operator that isn't made anymore. The 39-070 should still work but it'll take a little adaptation.

Your best, easiest solution would be to trim the back the molding on an angle with a sharp utility knife or chisel. This should allow clearance for the operator to drop down to the sill. In my experience, once the operator was installed with the cap molding it was fine.
