Lindsay Window Sash Broken (Pinnacle Windows), 2015

Question

The sash like assembly (there are no counter weights) is a plastic assembly that slides in a groove up and down along the side jam. This assembly has a die cast component that receives a post from the window itself. When the window rotates out for washing, this component engages the side jam to hold the window in place, when the window is in normal position, this allows the sash assembly (it has a flat torsion spring inside) to support the window weight. The die cast components are broken on three sashes and I am hoping I can replace just these components, but realize I may need to replace the complete assembly. In both cases, it is not clear how I can get replacement components into the right position.

Thanks so much for reaching out to us. What you show here is the "cam" for your old pivot shoe, but these are unfortunately not sold by themselves. You will need a new balance assembly.

Yours appears to be a good match for our Series 161, but look it over and let me know if you have any questions!
