Lock not catching

Question

Any idea where i can get one of these but bigger from frame to door.. currently the lock is not catching because it's recessed to far back into frame? This is for an MI windows slider.. thank you in advance!

Looks like a new patio glass door keeper. You mention you need one that's bigger, but that's a little vague. Door locks are made to work with one kind of keeper and that's about it. Is this the keeper that was originally installed? Why isn't the lock catching? You say that it's because it's recessed too far back into the frame, but that might be how the door is designed to work. Is the lock not catching a recent development, or has this always been a problem?

The reason I ask is that if this is a recent development, getting a bigger keeper won't really solve the issue. It might be a problem with the lock. With that in mind, can you show me the lock that interacts with this keeper? That will help us determine what you have and what the problem could be.
