Lock on horizontal slider

Question

I just had one of Jeld- wen  horizontal slider windows installed and I am unable to unlock it.  I am attaching a photo.  It appears there is a strip of metal that is preventing me from turning the lock.  I am unsure how this lock works since it doesn't appear to have a mechanism in the other window.  I have another Jeld- wen and the lock is completely different.  I attached a picture of it also.  Can you please help me with this please.

Unforutnately, we do not carry the lock that you're having trouble with but it looks like the keeper may sit inside the cutout in your lock. If the sweep lock or keeper is broken, that may be the root of the problem. If you haven't already, I would recommend removing the mounting screws to see if that gives you more wiggle room to disengage the lock from the keeper.
