Lock on sliding door won't lock

I do! The hardware you show in your photos match our 82-035 handle set and 82-227 mortise lock. Now, you said that the lock won't lock. That sounds to me like you just need a new mortise, in which case the 82-227 should do it. A good way to test that is to try to throw the mortise hook manually, with a screwdriver for example. If it still doesn't work then you found the problem. If it works fine, however, then something else has gone wrong. Get back to me if that's the case and we can work from there.
