Lock replacement

Question

The previous homeowner removed the lock. I know I need a double point mortise lock and a new thumb latch but I'm stuck on the keeper. The predrilled holes don't line up with anything. What am I'm missing? The holes are 4 inches apart on one side and 1 3/8 on the other. The handle has 4 15/16 inch screw holes. Thank you

Hey there. It's tough to say. If the handle set has 4-15/16" hole spacing like the 82-080, then the mortise lock might be something like the 82-238. Please compare and see. If so, the two keepers we see with this lock are the 89-030 or 89-036. Take a look and see what you think.
