Lock won't unlock.

Question

Interior Lock Knob will turn but mechanism does not unlock door. Door was installed prior to home ownership so I don't have an exterior key. Cannot enter or exit door due to permanently locked. How do I repair lock mechanism or purchase new parts or the entire unit? Thanks much.

I'm afraid this lock set is no longer available. You might want to consider something like our 40-049 lock set. It is a little different than the Pado one you have, but I have used this handle in the past to replace the Pado and it seemed to work well. See what you think.
