Locking Tilt Shoe

Quick Learner from Defiance, MO

This shoe is from a Louisiana-Pacific window and parts are no longer available from that distributor. The windows are from the Astoria Collection, Model 2848. The springs have a red tip and are 33". I have also included a photo of the guide that is attached to the window. It needs to slide in from the open side of the shoe. I need replacement shoes. Thanks, Doug

Hello,

We'd be happy to help but it's tough to make out accurate dimensions from photos. I would recommend starting by comparing the width and thickness of the 15-188 to your pivot shoe. Keep in mind that the break at the back of the shoe is not included in the thickness. If your dimensions differ, get back to us with your exact measurements written out and we can go from there. Thanks for posting!

Thanks for the great explanation. I wasn't sure if I was supposed to measure the thickness of the shoe with the break on or off. I now know it's best measured in the off position.

The thickness of the shoe is 1/2". I'm assuming based on that information, the 15-188 is the best choice for my application.

Best regards

You are correct that as long as the width and thickness match your part, the 15-188 pivot shoe would be the way to go. I'm glad that we were able to help and please let us know if you have any other questions.
