The lever and the bar with the pin went on between the white oval plate and fastened to the door with the two screws.

Thank you for the additional photos! This is a huge help. Our 82-043 thumb latch appears to match what you have here. I recommend you go over our specifications and compare them with yours to confirm everything aligns with what you need.
