Locking mechanism failing

Question

Hello, my sliding glass door lock is failing and I am not sure which part I need to order. Can you help identify it from the pictures provided? Sometimes the gold piece that moves when the door latch is flipped to lock and unlock does not extend out into the lock in the door frame like it should. Thank you!

Hey there. That gold piece is called the mortise lock. It's the 82-218. Try removing the handle set and then manually throwing the lock with a slotted screwdriver. If it doesn't budge then you know it has to be replaced. If the handle set looks damaged at all, see the 82-089.
