Longer version of 26-393B

Home Owner from Brooklyn ny

Got the 26-393B Tilt Latch Pair however they were a little short. They when on perfectly but came up short. I was able to put a small screw, so it works. Do you have these in a longer option like 2 5\8? If that fits I would get that for the rest of my Windows.

Thanks

We have a few different parts that may work, but nothing that I would strictly define as a longer version of 26-393B. They only ever made this in one size.

Before I recommend anything I would like to see some photos of the original latches? That would give me a better idea of what you're working with.

Hello and thanks for the help! These are pictures. The catch is what you sent. It slides in perfectly, but is about 1/2" short. As you can see I placed a screw to makeup the difference. If there are nothing longer, any idea how to fill the excess space?

I'm sorry for the confusion. To clarify, there are a ton of other kinds of latches that are larger, but their design is very different. In your case the 26-393B isn't just the wrong size, it's the wrong part in general.

In order to make a recommendation I have to see the latch that was in your window to begin with so that I can match it up to something in our inventory.

Thanks again for your quick response. As the pictures show the ones that came with the window are severely weathered and I was hoping to find replacements that will slide right in. I have taken to mounting latches that fit, and do latch firmly. I paid like 13.00 at Home Depo for those. Maybe if I can't match exactly Swissco has these for sale?

Thank you, these images are a huge help. I think you want something like our 26-243 and 26-244. These function similarly to the one you bought in that they plug into the sash, but the design and size are both different. Look over our specs and see what you think.
