Looking for Door Lock Part

Hello

I have an Anderson Frenchwood Hinged Patio Door and the lock does not work. I believe the part in the attached photo should have a spring that slips over it that would hold in a locked position. I purchased the spring at our local hardware store but it is just a little too tight. Would I be able to purchase a spring that would work with this lock?

We don't sell a replacement for the spring shown here, unfortunately. We can only supply full locksets. I am very sorry that we won't be able to assist with this repair but please let us know if you have any other hardware questions.
