Windows are Non-Tilting, Vinyl Frame, Double-hung, with insulated glass, made by Wall-Side Window Company near Detroit in the early 1980's.
The existing spring balances are 24 inches long and stamped with "BS1" and "232"of "2320". The outside dimensions of each sash are approximately 45 x 26. The weight of each sash is 20.2 pounds.
From your catalog the 2320 number is the second weakest spring balance and inappropriate for a window of this weight. It appears I should purchase 2340 capacity and a model S351 based on appearances and sizing.
Do you agree with the weight capacity? Do you agree with the model (if you have any Wall-Side cross-reference)?
We have two such windows, so I am looking to replace all (8) of the existing balances.
Thank you

Hello and thank you for writing in. With your window sash weighing 20.2 pounds, you would go with the 2340 option. We can't confirm you chose the correct replacement balance without actually seeing photos of the complete balance out of the window. If you would like for us to give you our suggestions on a matching balance, please upload photos of the balance out of the window and we will be happy to have a look for you.
