Looking for a Channel Balance

A home owner from Harvest, AL says:
I am looking for a channel balance as shown in the photos. It is for a tilt window. It looks like it is the ribbed channel. The top has 2 hooks and the bottom looks like the part in the photos. It has 35A stamped on the channel but unsure what the other stampings are. Thanks, Michael

Hello, Michael. We can supply this balance, but it will have to be a custom order due to its configuration. Before we go any further, can you  just tell me how many you need? Once I know that, I'll email you an order link and price quote for that quantity. This will allow you to add it to your cart as if it were any standard product.

One other thing to note is that those two hooks at the top you pointed out are not made anymore. We've tried to get a hold of these but have never had any luck. You need to reuse the hooks you have now on the new balance. Make sure you don't throw them out!

A home owner from Harvest, AL says:
Hi, depending on the price I would only need 1 or 2. Only 1 is broke but would like a replacement on hand if the price is not too much.

I am missing the hook on the broken one. I could probably make a hook that would work but unsure how to get it attached to the channel as the originals slide on the rivet.

Will a basic DIY hand rivet gun work? if so what size/type rivet is needed?

Thanks

We can only provide 2 balances at a minimum, since this is a custom order. I hope that's okay. I'll email you an order link and price quote now.

You can use a basic rivet tool, yes; we use the 75-075 along with the 3/32" x 39/64" 62-005 rivet.
