Looking for help to identify the channel balance

A home owner from Pittsburgh, PA says:
Hi.
I am willing to purchase some replacement for my broken window channels.
But I am not sure which I should buy.
Could you help me identify the parts?

Additionally, I have couple questions to the SWISCO.
What is the return policy if the parts I purchased doesn't fit?
How long will the order get shipped once I submit the order?

Thanks
Best,
Lixing

Hello, Lixing.

Your balance appears to be a match for our S380-31 or S385-31 but the best match will depend on the depth of your bottom fitting. Measure as shown in the image below to see which one you have. You will also need the 3030 spring strength option.

It depends on what shipping option you select at check out but regular shipping orders take approximately 2-3 business days to be processed and shipped out. Our return policy can also be found here.

A home owner from Pittsburgh, PA says:
I have measured the depth of my balance. It is 7/8 inch.
Do you think the 1 inch depth one may match? Or do you have 7/8inch one?

Thanks again.

Emily from SWISCO responded:

Can you confirm that you're measuring the balance's bottom shoe and not the actual balance itself? If the shoe is 7/8" deep, we can custom make your replacements using the 19-005 top and 15-029 shoe which is 7/8" deep. Custom orders are nonrefundable so I just want to ensure we're getting you the appropriate hardware! If that sounds good to you, let me know the number of balances you need and we can go from there.

A home owner from Pittsburgh, PA says:
Here is the photo of the measurement of the depth.
I don't think it is 1 inch, just for double check.

BTW, Width is 0.5inch.

I am thinking to take a try on the 1 inch depth. But if not working then return and order the 7/8 inch one.

Does this work?

The reason is with th 7/8 inch channel, window can be shifted left / right, which make me think that maybe the depth of the channel was not correct.

Is there way to check what is the depth I should need for my window?

Thank
Best,
Lixing

It's possible that your bottom shoe was once 1" deep and just wore down over time from use. If you have an identical window in the house, I recommend checking the shoe depth for those balances to help you confirm. You can also view our return policy here
