Simoton 7000 series patio door lock handle needed to be replaced (locking mechanism broke). Installed originally by Sears Home services in 2003.

Hello! Your door handle set looks similar to our 82-086. I think this may be what you need, but look over our dimensions to verify.

If I purchase part 82-086, do I need to also get a new lock plate for the door - or can I use the current one in place? Thanks

I'm sorry to say that you photo didn't come through here. However, were you talking about the mortise lock? If so, you should be able to resuse your original with no problem. As far as I can tell, the 82-086 is an identical match to your original set. You just need to make sure the dimensions match so that you can verify that.
