Looking for replacement window part

Hi,

I have a part that has broken on a number of double hung sash windows. This part catches the balance on sides of window opening and when broken, the sash falls. Can you please identify this part and provide a cost to order replacements?

We'd be happy to look into this for you but I can't make out the part shown in your photo. If you could show us an undamaged version from one of your windows, as well as the balance that it works with, we can go from there. Thank you!

Thanks for getting back to us. It looks like you have jamb liners that use naked springs to support the weight of the window sash. Unfortunately, we do not carry replacement parts for this old-style assembly but a local millwork may be able to supply them. I'm sorry that we won't be able to assist with this repair but please let us know if you have any other hardware questions. Thanks for posting.
