Looking for the correct stud bracket

A handy person from Greenport, New York says:

Hi

I have a stud bracket on this old Certainteed casement window that has rusted.

I see on your sight you have a stud bracket 39-508. Do you think I could get this to work if I cut away whats rusted and replace with this?

Maybe you have a better option for me.

Thank You

Peter

Tom from SWISCO responded:

Hello, Peter. The 39-508 isn't going to work for you. That rusted part isn't a stud bracket, that's one of the arms from the hinge. That means you need an all new hinge to replace it.

I recommend the 36-048. It's not exactly the same as your original but as long as you replace the top and bottom at the same time then you should be good to go.
