Looking for window balancer

Quick Learner from Mass
The window balancer is broken and I looking for a replacement. The model of the balancer is very old and not sure what can replace it. The window is a double hung tilt window.

Thanks for posting. This old rod balance is no longer made, but you should be able to replace it with our Series 775 Channel Balance. For the right length, measure the length of an undamaged rod. It looks like yours might be 25", but it is a bit tough to tell from photos of measuring tape. So please confirm. You have to also choose a stamp option, which reflects the balance's strength. Weigh the window sash the balances support to know what stamp to select. Finally, you'll need a replacement with a 1-1/4" wide wedge shoe. Let me know if you have questions.

One rod is 24in lenght and the window it supports weight 13 lbs. The other rod is 26in and the window it supprts weight 15 lbs. For Series 775, should I get a pair of 23B & 1-1/4 in Shoe and a pair of 25B & 1-1/4in Shoe?

If the one rod is 24" long, then see the S775-24. If the sash weighs 13 pounds, you'd choose the option 24B with the 1-1/4" wide shoe. If the other rod is 26" long, see the S775-26 and choose the 26B option with a 1-1/4" shoe. Let us know if you have further questions.
