Looking for window parts

Question

I am looking for contoured plugs to apply over the screw holes in plastic window frame that holds the double glass in my two exterior doors. The doors are metal and the plastic frames squeeze the glass panes and the frame sides into the door by being screwed together with an applied sealer. I have contacted the door manufacturer but they have stopped making doors and therefore have no parts available for me to purchase. These doors did not have plugs installed when the doors were purchased and installed so I have no examples to show you. All I know is I have contacted local stores and they have just flat plugs but know what I am talking about and tell me it is called a contoured plug. I want white ones and I have looked at your website that you had me go to and what I see are just screws and flat plastic plugs. I don?t know what else I can do to describe them to you.

I think I know what you're trying to describe. This is for the plastic grid molding that secures the glass into a steel replacement doors. I'm not sure if you'll be able to find these contoured screw plugs anywhere, though. Most replacement door companies today are using "snap-together" glass molding, which doesn't take screws of any kind since the exterior and interior pieces snap together to secure the glass.

Try an older replacement door company in your area to see if they have any older plugs laying around. If all else fails, I would suggest using some caulking to cover up the holes.
