Looking to Replace Rollers and all Hardware Including Fasteners that Hold Pieces Together

Quick Learner from 32503
Hello,

I have some very old sliding glass doors that I need to repair. Would like to replace all of the rollers and corresponding hardware including the fasteners that hold the frame pieces together. The rollers on the screened and glass doors appear to be different which is why I sent pics of each. I was unable to actually remove a roller. I would also like recommendation for the insulation pieces.

Hi there!

We can help but we'll need to see your rollers removed from your door, along with dimensions, to compare to our inventory.

Check out the video below, it explains how to remove your rollers starting at the 1:47 mark.

Hi Emily, I have removed both screws from the side of the frame and I can't figure out how to get the roller out. Apparently, it's not as simple as what is shown in the video. Any idea how to proceed? Thanks, Dave

Hi, Dave.

Some patio doors have inconvenient ways to remove rollers. I don't know if this is the case with your specific door, but you might need to tap out the bottom rail out of the door frame to get the rollers out. This is a sometimes difficult process so we suggest seeking a professional to help if you're not handy.
