Hi, back in 2021 I purchased from you Product Code: 40-049. It's been working fine but yesterday I noticed the latch wasn't working. I took the entire mortise out and it looks like a screw and possibly a spring fell off inside the door. When I swung the door open, the latch went flying off. I attempted to repair it but it seems there is a spring that keeps the latch extended when the handle is not being turned. Everything else is fine and I was hoping to get that small spring without having to buy an entire new lock set.
I believe there must be a spring inside where the arrow points.
