Lower Stanley 4011 roller not extending

Question

Installing doors that are 20+ years old. The section that extends is stuck on several. It will move around slightly but will not go out. Is there a trick I'm missing? One so far will skid out freely as it z should.

I see that you were looking at our 23-041. If this is what you have, you just need to remove the door, place it on a flat and stable surface, then use needle-nose pliers to firmly work the roller out. It's held in by those hooks you see on the side. There's no trick to it, you just have to be consistent when wiggling it out.
