I am told by the manufacturer that I need two balances to keep this window open.

I'm afraid I'm not sure what balances will work for you. Could you show us a couple pictures of the balance out of the window to start out? That will get us on the right track.

One balance has broken, I can only presume that the other is still intact.

Thank you! Start by looking at our 15-180 pivot shoe and Series 190 coil spring. If you need the other pieces, see our 15-186 clip, 15-182 bushing, and 33-072 screw as well. Please review these suggestions and let me know if they match what you have now.
