MW Dual Pane 84 Double Hung Windows

Quick Learner from Greensboro, NC

We have a house built in 1984 with MW Dual pane double hung windows. All windows have retained their seal.

I need to replace 14 springs in the jam liner:

I will need 4 for window size 27 7/8 inches in height and 35 1/2 inches wide.

I will need 10 for window size 39 3/4 inches in height and 39 3/4 inches wide.

I have been to three builder supply companies in the Greensboro area without any luck. I need your help.

Sincerely,

Fred

Hi Fred,

I'm not sure if we can supply the replacement balances that you need but we would need to see photos of the assemblies that MW used in your windows to compare to our inventory.

Please keep in mind that if your window uses jamb liners with naked springs to support the sash, unfortunately, that is not something that we can supply. If that is the case, a local millwork may be able to help if you have a wood window. Thank you.

I am trying to replace the springs located within the jam liner and need your help to find replacement springs.

Attached are two photos showing the jam liner and spring inside the jam liner for MW dual windows dating to 1984.

Would need four springs for a window 27 7/8" in height and ten springs for windows 39 3/4" in height.

Thanks for getting back to us. Unfortunately, we do not carry replacement jamb liners but a local millwork may be able to assist you.

I'm sorry that we won't be able to assist with this repair but please let us know if you have any other hardware questions.
