MW Patriot Single Hung Window

A home owner from Marlton, NJ says:
I have a ~15 year old "MW Patriot" single hung window (maybe model #NC 1300/1400, but not sure), with a lower tilt sash. There is an approximate 29" channel balance mechanism on either side of the window that moves up and down with the lower sash (i.e. connected by a "sash pin" on each bottom corner of the lower window). Inside each moving channel balance mechanism is a spring, pulley mechanism and cord (See "Picture 1". The cord on the pulley broke, which is attached at the other end to the top of the window channel (See Picture 2).

I think we can help, but I can't tell what you have based on this picture. Can you show us a complete balance? I'm afraid it's impossible to determine what you have just based on the spring. I will also need to see the shoe or clip at the end of the balance.

Thank for the photos. It looks like you need our S795-29 tilt balance, and I believe your bottom T-Lock shoe is 15-195,1-1/4" wide. Please compare your measurements to ours. Your spring weight option will be the number and letter stamped on the channel. Let us know if you need any more assistance before your order.
