Made in W. Germany compact cabinet Hinge

Quick Learner from Tulsa, OK
House built in the late 60's and sure if these are original. Hinge label: "Made in W.Germany 652.220.50.00". Part of hinge that does not screw into the cabinet door has part number 348.220.50/00.

Any help would be greatly appreciated - I cannot find a replacement hinge!

Well, if this hinge was made in West Germany, it must be fairly old. Fortunately I think we still can help. We have a couple of hinges similar to this style. Start with our 32-340, which I think might be the most similar option we have. Look it over and let me know if you agree. Now, it's not exactly the same, so you may have to redrill the installation holes, but it may also work as-is. You'll have to see how it fits first to know for sure.

Thanks for the reply. I'm worried about the 32-340 based on a similar thread on your website. What are your thoughts based on this thread:

Very good find. To be honest, we've recommended the 32-340 for this hinge in other discussions, but we don't always hear back from customers regarding whether it worked--this often depends on the cabinet configuration as much as anything else. As Dave said in that older discussion, these Euro hinges always present a big problem. I do think the 32-340 and 32-343 are probably the best bets; but the 32-343 certainly presents a more compact solution than the 32-340. If you think that's what you need, just look over the specs on the shop page to see if otherwise matches what the setup needs to be in your cabinet.

Hi Bob-

My name is Kevin and I live in Lynden, WA and I am trying to help out a friend. He needs to replace a couple of hinges on some cabinetry and I would love to give him a hand. The brand says W-Germany and I am trying to find a replication. Any information would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Hey Kevin. We've come across some of these old hinges from West Germany before. Since the hinge comes from a country that technically no longer exists, it's a bit old and an exact replacement is hard to come by. That said, I feel our 32-340 might be the closest match. Look over the dimensions, compare to the old hinge, and let me know what you think.

I need the same hinge. Did you ever locate a match?

Our closest matches are our 32-340 and 32-343. Unfortunately due to these hinges changing a lot over the years, we don't have a more exact replacement. Look over these options and see if either might work for you.
