Male threaded ball catch help

Home Owner from Oak Grove, Ky
I need to replace the same type of male THREADED ball catch and spring on my closet door. The male part (pictured) screws into the brass female catch inside the top of the closet door. The treading allows the ball to be adjusted so the closet door closes securely. I'm not sure the one you recommended to Mr. Bowie, MD will work. Any thoughts?

We don't have an exact match for this ball catch, but look at our 10-057 and see if you could use this as a substitute. Make sure to go over our dimensions first and foremost. If they differ, let me know how and we can try to find something better.

I'm afraid we have not verified that our 10-057 is a good replacement for the pictured ball catch. I can only say that it is our best suggestion at this time.

I'm sorry that we can't offer you a more confident replacement.

I have this exact setup and issue. Did anyone ever find a solution for a replacement male threaded ball catch? Thank you

It was easy to remove the female part and the black plastic housing by pulling up with my finger in the center of the housing. I used pliers to slightly close the opening of the male piece on the end with the notches. I reassembled the latch and the ball was held securely. I place the housing back in first then placed the complete reassembled unit in the door. Works great.
