Malfunctioning Truth Casement Window lock

The mechanism keeps popping out so the handle won't engage when trying to lock the window shut. Truth #40538 appears on the vertically sliding brass metal plate. The interior white handle has lateral play. All other screws on the outside are secure. Perhaps just the inside part needs to be replaced as all the other components outside slide up & down.
