Marvin Ultimate clad doublehung weatherstripping replacement

Handy Person from New York City

Hi--I've got two Marvin windows that are great but the weatherstripping in the lower window has been damaged. I'm hoping this is a pretty standard replacement part for you, as shown in the two pictures--another window showing (white) weatherstripping without damage, and a photo of removed damaged weatherstripping.

If you can ID, I need replacement materials for two windows, as mentioned.

Thank you! David F

Thank you for submitting your inquiry to our discussion board.

Can we please have the width and height of the foam weatherstrip?

This will allow our part experts to better recommend replacement options for you.

Thanks. The existing foam-filled weatherstrip on the lower sash windows is 34 inches--and here's a picture of the damaged strip which suggests that the "bulb" is 3/8th inch high, and 1/4th inch wide at the base,, with a 1/8th inch offset flange...

Is that enough for you? Sorry if I'm not getting exactly what you want...

I appear to be missing a few check rail frame pieces and "chimney blocks" if those are the right terms...now that I've checked all my other Marvin windows...

David, thank you for the measurements and additional picture.

While it doesn't appear that we have an exact match to your seal, we are confident that we have something that will still work for you.

Our suggestion is to take a look at our 58-053, 58-055, and 58-114, compare the dimensions, and see if one of these could work in place of what you have.

To help make your decision a little easier, we also recommend heading over to our samples page and ordering small pieces of these seals to test out.
