Marvin screen door lock

Home Owner from USA
To Whom It May Concern:

I am looking for a specific part to replace for my parent's house's sliding screen door. The screen door lock is broken, however many people have told me that the Marvin screen door is hard to replace, so I am trying to locate a place that can just sell me the locking part. I took apart the part and it reads the following:

Part No: DNS INDUSTRIES .12 INSIDE PULL -1400 SERIES
(I also need the little silver bracket piece. That seems to be the locking mechanism.)

Thanks for posting! You say you need a screen door lock, but your pictures show the handle for the sliding glass patio door. Do you have the screen door handle on hand we can see?

Thank you for getting back to me. Please kindly see attached pictures of where this handle is actually installed onto a screen door. I have also included a close up picture of the metal locking mechanism.

Ah, I see. This is very odd! I guess they used a patio glass door handle as a screen door handle. I'm afraid the company that made it is no longer in business, though. I think our 82-008 lock set should match, but you would have to re-use that locking tooth in the third image. Is that a possibility?

I'm in desperate need of a sliding door handle from Marvin. Marvin has been unhelpful. The holes on the handle are more than a foot apart.

the handle I need matches the one above.

Hello! If your handle matches the one shown above, then did you review our recommendation of the 82-008 yet? If not, that should be your next step.

If our hardware differs from what you have in any way, then we'll require a few photos from you, and written measurements, so that we can find a better match.
