Marvin sliding door I believe

A home owner from Cleveland Ohio says:
Help!

I am trying to identify my door and what I would need to be able to fix it so there is a locking mechanism beyond the broom handle I have now.

Nothing in the door handle area is what is supposed to be there based on outlines of original parts.

Thank you!

Casey from SWISCO responded:

Hello,

It looks like someone decided to use hardware that was not originally meant for this door, leaving you in quite a predicate. I suspect that it was meant to use something like our 82-003 with 3-15/16" hole spacing and a safety latch that would install in the cutout shown in the center of your door.

If this handle meets the specifications of your door, you could also use the 82-306 external pull if you want it to be key locked from the outside. Take a look and see if this could work for you. Thanks for posting!
