I have a Marvin sliding patio door screen circa 1989 or so. The roller and bearing axle assembly broke off a 5/16" wide spring.
It looks similar part 84-031 but different in that it looks like the "Stop" is separate from the spring portion. I can't get either the broken spring or stop out of the aluminum frame. It does not have an adjustment screw or fastening screw that i can see.
Can you help we with this one?
Thanks
John F.

I figured this out.
A one sided rivit held in place the spring and wheel assembly. I pounded it out with the blunt end of a finishing nail.
I discovered a horizontal adjustment screw at the base of each of the jambs.
The attached rivit that came with the parts i ordered didn't work (fit) quite right, so i removed it and used a very small self tapping S.M. screw to hold the new spring and wheel assebly in place to the aluminum screen frame.
I'm back in business!!
THanks alot
