Meaning 26B

Quick Learner
Hi !
I have some broken window balances. I narrowed it down to being S390-27. The only bit I'm missing is the spring strength. I was wondering if the 26B stamped on one side of the piece means something in this regard ?
Thanks !

I just realized one of the window is a different size. For this other window, the stamping is different. Here are pictures of the two balances of the same panel. Same question here, is this an indication of the spring strength ?
Thank you!

Hello, thank you for posting,

If the bottom shoe measures 1-1/8" deep, I agree that the Series 390 is good match for your window. If the length of the metal channel excluding the nylon attachments measures 27 inches long, you should be able to use a 2620 stamp option that can support a 9-13 pound window sash. I recommend weighing the sash to confirm a good fit!

For the others balances shown, I believe they are also non-winged attachments, but I cannot fully confirm while installed.

It is peculiar that the balance uses two different stamps on each side. Is the length of the metal channel 33 inches long excluding the attachments? The 3220 stamp would translate to a 13-18 pound window sash, but I am not sure about the 3214 marking. I would recommend weighing this sash as well to confirm the 3220 range. Let me know!
