Measured correctly but shorter than old balances.

A quick learner from Orlando says:
We received our order for 18 balances, Series 900, 28". After trying to install them this past weekend they didn't work out. They pop out of place when operating the window up and down.

I already filled out the return form but since we are still interested in purchasing the parts I'd like to seek some clarification to be able to re-order the correct parts.

The measurements were taken as you indicate: 28" from the screw to the tip right where the plastic tip is but when comparing both the old and the new one, the old ones are 1" longer measuring them from the screw to where the metal part that sticks out is (disregarding the plastic tip). Please see photo.

Your help on this matter will be greatly appreciated. I can be contacted for any clarification at 4072029914.
Thank you in advance.

Hello from SWISCO.com. It looks like you have a discontinued 28" long , 3/8" thick plastic tube tilt balance with an extended spiral. To compensate for this, order Series 900-29" or lower your installation hole 1". Let us know how you make out.
