I just bought a new house and the sliding window does not have the attachment to assist with lifting and holding the window open. How do I determine what length is necessary for my window what should I measure?

Hello,

It sounds like your window may be missing the balances used to support the weight of the window. Is there another, identical window in the house that you could remove a balance from? If so, please get back to us with photos of your assembly removed from the window and we can go from there. As long as the window is the same size as the one with missing balances, you should be able to use the same length and strength code. Thank you!
