Measuring length for S600

Question

I measured the length of the balance spring tube from end to just before the blue color tip and it's 28.25". See attached photo. The sash weighs 22.5 lbs and the tube is 5/8". Should I order a 28" or 29" tube?

Also do I have to order the charging tool or can I do by hand?

Hey, Lauren. I recommend going with the 29" balance in this case. I highly recommend using the charging tool, as it makes charging the balance infinitely easier. You can see how by viewing the video below.
