Metal Rail to Hold 36-083 shoe

I am not looking for the shoe but I need to replace the metal rod that goes through the shoe as it is rusted.

Hey! Thanks for posting. Could you show us a picture of what you need replaced? It's difficult to determine the best option without being able to see it.

I purchased:

39-264 : Andersen Split Arm Crank
36-083 : Andersen Shoe Kit

from you. I am looking for the metal bar that the shoe kit sits on.

I don't think our 39-264 is the operator you want, based on this photo. I think our 39-099 would have been the better option. Take note that depending on the age of your window you might also need the 39-362 mounting plate.

As for the metal rod, I'm afraid we don't carry it. They normally don't go bad, since they're so simple, but rust could be a problem. I recommend trying to polish it using steel wool and lubricating oil.
