Metal Window from the 70s - Sash Parts
Looking to repair old windows replacing some parts. The sash has a small plastic part at the bottom (attaches to the balance) and another plastic part on the top side, that is holding the sash in place. The issue I have is the sash is not staying up when opening the window. It's a non-tilt window. Looking your website, I think the plastic part i need at the bottom of the sash is part number 17-095, but not completely sure. I would need to replace the pieces (six total per sash, three on one side, three on the other side) for 11 windows.
Hello,
We did carry a Spiral Balance Retainer Latch like yours at one time but, unfortunately, it has been discontinued and we have not been able to locate a suitable replacement. I'm sorry that we won't be able to assist with this repair but please let us know if you have any other hardware questions. Thanks for posting.
So, is that reponse only for the latch on the top of the sash piece?, or you do not carry any of the three pieces I need?
Unforutnately, we are not able to supply the balances used with your discontinued retainer. Your sash clip is similar to the 17-095 but the determining factor would be how the specifications below compare to yours. We also offer the 17-059 Sash Balance Bracket commonly used with this assembly. Review both parts and see what you think.
