Mi Window 9770

Home Owner from Philadelphia
Hi: Two of my Mi windows are not closing fully. When I called Mi windows they said to call you and see if this is an operator & casement issue and needs to be replaced. Can you suggest what might be the issue and what parts will I need?

Hello there!

Thanks for reaching out to us. It sounds like the operator may be stripped. To confirm this, we recommend you remove the operator from the window and try closing the window by hand. If the window closes fine and stays closed, then the operator is the likely culprit and must be replaced.

We're happy to help ID yours if that's the case. We would just need you to show us a photo of the window open so that the arms that move the sash are fully visible.

Thanks Emily. You said "we recommend you remove the operator from the window and try closing the window by hand".

How do I remove the operator from the window? I don't even know which part is calle dthe operator. Any links or videos on how to do that?

The operator is the mechanism that opens and closes the window. See the image below. We also have a video that will go over how to remove the operator. I'll post that below.
