Milgard Window Balancer needs replacment

Question

Number stamped on balancer is "26 4 HU CMC 2".

Balance is 27" in length and is 1/2" wide. Vinyl Window is single hung - slides up and down only. Can you confirm with Balance I need please?

My assumption is to replace both L and R side balancers at the same time even though the Right side is still functioning. Please confirm. Thank you.

It appears that you either have a Series 380 or Series 385 channel balance.

The difference between the series 380 and series 385 channel balance lies in the shoe.

The series 385 balance has the 15-004 shoe which is slightly larger from front to back, as illustrated.

If you measure your shoe as it is pictured here, you should be able to determine which one you need.
