Milgard Window Slider Stop

Quick Learner from California
The window slider stops on my single hung Milgard windows are fragile and easily break. I have not been able to identify the part on the web.

Hello! I believe our 26-122 vent lock will work for your Milgard window. Please just compare the outside dimensions (3/8" x 2") to your hardware. The interior housing will look different, but it may still work. If they don't match, let me know how they differ.

I have vinyl Milgard sash windows and horizontal slider windows. None have vent limiters installed. How do I install these in a window that doesn't currently have a cutout for it? And what do you recommend for a horizontal window limiter? Thank you.

If your window doesn't already have a cutout to accommodate it, then I wouldn't advise trying to install something like our 26-122. One alternative could be our 26-387. This is a surface-mount vent latch that installs directly to the frame of the window, but it's important to note that it's not universal. Your window frame must be able to accommodate this kind of application. The video below will show you how it's intended to work.
