Thanks for writing in. Let's cover a few things here. First, you need to determine the type or Series of balance you have. There are actually many different types of balances this could be; the stamp code alone only determines the balance's spring calibration, not the type you need. To know this, we'd need to see the balance out of the window, with a picture of each nylon fitting on either end. These nylon fittings determine the type or Series of channel balance you need. Next, the length you need is determined by the length of the metal channel, not including the nylon fittings on either end. This length is usually 1" than the first two digits on the metal channel. So if you have a balance stamped 26-5, the balance length you need is probably 27" long. Double-check this to be safe. Finally, once you know the Series balance and specific length needed, you'll need to choose a stamp option. Your stamp code of 26-5 should translate to our stamp option of 2650. Let us know if you have any questions. |
