We would like to see an image of the inside of the balance’s metal channel, where the innerspring connects to the pulley mechanism; this connection is located in the middle of the channel.

Perfect! The S380-27 or S385-27 can replace your balance. The best match will depend on the depth of the bottom shoe, as shown below. 

However, the 26-5 stamp on your old balance is calibrated for a sash weighing 26 to 30 pounds, which would be too strong if the sash weighs 19 pounds. Have you had any trouble opening and closing your window?
