Milgard replacement balance

Thanks for reaching out! Your channel balance is an Extended-Travel Channel Balance and will need to be a custom made assembly. These balances are assembled with a wheel installed in the shoe and a hook/clip attached to the shoe. 

Before I can forward an order link for you custom balances, I'll need to know the length of the metal channel of your balance. Extended-Travel channel balances do not have a whole number measurement for the length of the metal channel. That said, your balances should have a length of 25-5/8". Can you double check this?

I'll also need to know the exact number of balances you intend to purchase. There is an order minimum of (2) balances per custom assembly.

Thanks for confirming. The clip used on these extended travel balances is the 62-108 Tension Cord Clip. When replacing these on a balance, we do advise exercising caution since the balance string is under a lot of tension; there is a risk of injury. We always recommend using safety goggles and gloves, given the risk. 

Once you've secured the balance in a bench vice, it should be fairly easy to swap the clips out. That said, I did want to note that when a clip breaks, that is a sign that the balance isn't far behind.
