Milgard single hung

Question

I have a double single hung window from Milgard that is missing the channel balance rods. How do I measure the sash in order to get the right length channel? Do you know if Milgard uses half inch or wider channels?

Most Milgard windows use Series 385 side load balances, but that's not certain. Do you have another Milgard in the house, hopefully the same size, that has balances? If not, we will need the overall width and height of the window sash, the weight of the sash, and the width/height of the portion of the glass that you can see. We'd also like to see what type of top sash guide is on the window sash, because we need to match the design of the guide.
