Milgard single/double-hung window with SO# 178719, Line 005. The balancer is broken

Question

I have a Milgard single/double-hung window with SO# 178719, Line 005. The balancer is broken on both sides so the window does not stay open and does not move cleanly within the track.

Thanks for your post! This top sash guide is no longer available but the 18-009 should work well to replace it. You will need to shave down the tabs on the top of it for the installation.
