Milgard strike plate won't push the button

Hey there,

Thanks for writing in! There is a chance the mortise lock is misaligned with the strike plate. You may need to adjust the door so that the thumb button will properly engage with the mortise lock. Take a look at the video tutorial, tagged below, for an idea on how to adjust the door.

If the door is in alignment, you may need to replace the lock altogether. In that case, I'll need to see it removed from the door to identify the correct replacement.
