Hello,

Most customers with Milgard windows have found 18-188 top sash guide to be a suitable replacement. Let us know if you need anything else. Thank you!

The part you recommended and sent me is not quite the same as my old part. Will this make a differance?
Old part is on the right (or top) in both pics.

I'm sorry to hear the size is mismatched. Could you perhaps use our 18-127? I couldn't find anything closer. You may need to remove the two top flanges. Let me know what you think.

The 18-127 worked just fine after I trimmed off the 3 top flanges. Thanks for the help.

Now, on to the next broken window channel balance.

It is a 27" SERIES 385 CHANNEL BALANCE but,

the number on the back says: 26 4 JQ CALDWELL

Which option do I choose?

Can I just weigh the window?

Thanks again,

Bruce

HI Bruce, glad Paul was able to help with your top sash guides. As for your balance, you can go for the 2640 option to correspond with the "26 4" part of your stamp. This supports a sash weight range of 19 to 26 lbs, but if you want to double check it, you can certainly weigh the sash to be sure.
